Multi-fuel capabilities
The Aalborg OC-TCi supports multiple decarbonization strategies. Built on a fuel-flexible boiler platform, it can operate on oils and biofuels – and be configured for an additional alternative: LNG, methanol or ammonia.*

Hybrid operation with electricity
As well as supporting multiple fuels, the Aalborg OC-TCi can be configured as a hybrid boiler for electric operation. This lets you cut direct emissions by taking advantage of shore power or surplus electricity on board.
Future-proof conversion options
If you aren’t ready for an alternative fuel or hybrid capability today, the Aalborg OC-TCi can still be prepared. New boilers can be delivered multi-fuel-ready and/or hybrid-ready, making later conversion easy and cost-efficient.
Integrated waste heat recovery
The exhaust gas section of the Aalborg OC-TCi produces steam through waste heat recovery, which reduces fuel costs and emissions. One unit can serve up to three engines, saving space compared to standalone economizers.
Self-cleaning boiler technology
The Aalborg OC-TCi features TCi (Turbo Clean, intelligent) self-cleaning technology, which keeps the boiler running efficiently and prolongs its service life. The TCI cleaning process is automatic, but it can also be initiated manually.
LNG safety options
When using LNG, the Aalborg OC-TCi can take on additional functions. The boiler can safely combust boil-off gas (BOG) or free flow from the LNG tank, as well as the mix of inert gas and methane created before and after tank inspection.
